Tamtech business fire quickly doused
South Walton firefighters were summons to a fire at Tamtech Pool & Spa, 185 N. Holiday Road, this morning around 6:10 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke bellowing from the business. They quickly gained access to the building and by 6:37 a.m. the fire was extinguished.
The business was closed at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
A spokesman for the South Walton Fire District credits the early detection and reporting of the fire by neighbors and the prompt response by firefighters with keeping damage to a minimum.
The State Fire Marshall’s Office determined the cause of the blaze to be electrical in nature.
