Freeport's Biker Burger kick-starts a 'unique concept'

Rev your engine and joyride your way to Biker Burger in Freeport.

Though the name and menu may be biker themed, you don't have to be a Hog enthusiast to enjoy the one-of-a-kind sandwiches at the family owned, counter service joint.

"It's a restaurant for everybody, kids ... grandmas. Everybody," said owner and operator Joel Gutierrez. "We give everybody the opportunity to feel like a biker."

It wasn't until last summer that Freeport diners got that opportunity. The store in Freeport opened July 28, 2012, as an expansion of the original Biker Burger which has been serving Fort Walton Beach from Beal Parkway in Fort Walton Beach since April 2008.

Gutierrez works to keep his offerings unique and with something for everyone, bikers or otherwise.

"Like our slogan says, 'Like nothing else.' We do everything differently," said Gutierrez.

And the owner proves that with a unique menu that features 19 different sandwiches, all served on hamburger buns.
