Obituaries 10-26

John Kellen Gallagher


John Kellen Gallagher, 15, passed away Oct. 24, 2009. He was born Aug. 7, 1994, in Panama City to Sean A. Gallagher and Alecia Davidson Brown.

John was a resident of Freeport and was Pentecostal by faith and a member of the New Beginnings Church of Freeport. He was extremely intelligent, and loved life to the fullest and was known for being full of life and vivacious, faithful, loyal and having a great sense of humor. He was known for having a very strong work ethic.

John enjoyed four wheeling, scuba diving, golfing, playing the drums and the trumpet, skateboarding, hunting, and fishing. He made his love known for his family to everyone. He was always right and was very tender hearted.

He was a connoisseur of fine food. He will be dearly missed by everyone including his dog, 'Cuan'.

John was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, A.J. Gallagher and uncle, Kevin Davidson.

John is survived by his father, Sean A. Gallagher; mother, Alecia Brown and husband Mac; sister, Marissa Harris and brother, Michael Harris; paternal grandmother, Patti Gallagher; maternal grandparents, Ed Davidson, Phyllis Young and Del Young; nephew, Bralynn  Hammond; uncles, Patrick Gallagher and Curt Davidson; aunt, Kelly Arthur; and numerous cousins.

A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 at the New Beginnings Church, 1564 State Highway 20 West in Freeport.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at the New Beginnings Church with the Rev. Anthony Cuchens officiating and Eulogy by Sean Gallagher.

Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Bruce, Fla.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.

Lincoln Permenter

Lincoln T. Permenter was born Nov. 19, 1956, in DeFuniak Springs, Fla. He passed away Oct. 24, 2009, in Orange, Texas.

Lincoln was employed at Eastern Ship Building of Panama City, Fla. for 25 years. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Ponce de Leon.

Lincoln is preceded in death by his father Lincoln P. Permenter and grandson Alexander Permenter.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Bailey Permenter; sons, Joshua, Matthew, Patrick and Jeffrey; and  granddaughter, Hannah. He is also survived by his mother, Faye Permenter of DeFuniak Springs; sisters, Linda Vogt, April Scott of DeFuniak Springs and Sheila Permenter of Tallahassee; brothers, John Permenter of West Palm Beach, and David Permenter of Rowland, N.C., along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, 230 Park Avenue in DeFuniak Springs.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Oct. 30 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with the Rev. Joel Glenn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Cemetery.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.
