Give the gift of Redd this year

The original album evolved from her performances at Aqua nightclub with “Greensleeves."

Many consider a standout to be her rendition of “Chestnuts Roasting by an Open Fire."

“This is certainly a grass roots effort done on a shoestring budget,” she said of the CD. “I think the fun atmosphere of the show comes across in the various recording tracks. Some of the normal chatter in between songs are deliberately left in, and it worked out well. I hope everyone enjoys it.”

Listeners will discover a mix of cabaret and recording studio efforts. The singer's voice has a scratchy, raspy tone and hesitancy that sets her off from the everyday female singer. She emulates the uninhibited and spontaneous freedom of the perfect torch singer. She has enormous power but knows how to retreat and then come on full force.

The Grindle Award-winning artist has sold out of her “Discovered at Last” CD along with the original “Redd’s Big Time Christmas Show.” Redd has made frequent appearances on 30-A TV, QTV, New Year’s Eve celebrations as seen on CNN, and also on the “Weather Channel” as the “Weather WannabeQueen.” She has also performed in Las Vegas. Her busy holiday schedule began Dec. 1 at St. Andrew Church’s Oasis Jubilee in Destin.

“Help for those who have AIDS and preventative education is close to my heart as I lost friends far too soon before their time. I’m glad to sing for the event as OASIS supports Escambia, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. I like to bring awareness that is given so freely by this superb charity.”

Redd will be doing her Big Time Christmas Show at Marie’s Bistro in Blue Mountain Beach on Tuesday Dec. 18 from 6-9 p.m. Starting the week after Christmas, she will be at Marie’ every Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. and at Regatta Bay Club House every Monday form 5-8 p.m. This is open to the public.
