HAPPY CAMPERS: Your guide to summer fun for kids in Walton County

Register for the “Kids on Campus” summer enrichment program at Northwest Florida College online at www.nwfsc.edu/kidsoncampus or parents may register at all seven NWFSC locations.

Kids on Campus offers youth entering grades 3 to 8 an opportunity for fun learning in a college environment with a variety of classes in the areas of athletics, theater, art and academics.

Session will be held July 15-25, Monday through Thursday, with half-day sessions from 9 a.m. to 12 noon or 12:30 to 3:20 p.m., or full-day sessions, 9 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.  For an additional fee, extended day options are available from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

30A Dancewave

Barefoot Broadway Kids musical theater camps for ages 6-12 will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. through July 19 at 30A Dancewave in Seaside. For one week, work on the fundamentals of musical theater and the art of the production number and focus on stage direction, character development, improvisation, vocal technique, simple choreography and auditioning. Present a production number at end of week. Wear comfortable workout clothes; hair pulled back away from face. Light snack and water provided.

Dancewave Dance Team Camp will be held from 3-5 p.m. July 29-Aug. 2. Students will focus on the dance moves they do best and produce one, maybe two dance numbers as a result.  Open to all girls and boys who love the art of dance.  Wear leotards, tights, tank tops and jazz pants; dance shoes required.  Hair must be pulled back in bun or neat ponytail. Light snack and water provided.
