IDOL BEAT: New ‘Idol' judge believes in second chances

I had the chance to sit in on a phone conference with the new "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi on Jan. 8. I am excited about her addition to the judge's table; she brings a wealth of experience with her industry background, not only as a songwriter but as a producer as well.

DioGuardi's songs have been recorded by Natasha Bedingfield, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Santana,  Pink and  the Jonas Brothers, just  to name a few of the diverse, talented singers utilizing her music!
