On January 17th, 2013, investigators with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office received a tip regarding a series of commercial and residential burglaries that occurred in late 2012 in South Walton.  Based on the tip, investigators gathered enough evidence to arrest Jesse Daniel Strange, 25, of Niceville and John Kyle Campbell, 25, of Santa Rosa Beach.  The suspects admitted to breaking into houses and taking several flat screen TV’s, cash and other items.  In one particular residential burglary, the suspects gained access to keys to a 2009 Jeep Wrangler and stole the vehicle.  Investigators were able to recover the Jeep Wrangler and return it to the victim.

Campbell and Strange also admitted to breaking into Havana Dreams, a Cigar shop located in Miramar Beach, and took several packages of “Spice” and $250 in cash from a cash register.

Campbell and Strange were charged with 5 counts of burglary, 5 counts of grand theft, 1 count of grand theft auto and 3 counts of criminal mischief.
