Congratulations to Hamilton (Hamp) and Georgia Kerns who celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Dec. 6. Hamp is a resident of Point of View apartments and Georgia is a resident of Grand Boulevard Healthcare, where Hamp comes to sit with her every day. The couple met at school in Greenville, S.C. Their daughters are Cyndi Conley and Susan Jackson.

Congratulations to Santa Rosa Beach's Regina Jaquess who has been selected USA Water Ski’s 2012 Female Athlete of the Year for the sixth time.

Sorry to lose Carol Lench to The Villages and Meg Nelson (partially) to North Carolina. But, I hear that Ronnie and Cindy McBrayer have moved back to South Walton from north Georgia, and Lorre and Bob James have also moved over here from Destin.

Wish a "happy birthday" today to artist Kris Meigs.

Sunday to Seaside's Charlie Renfroe.

Wednesday to Sandestin's Debbie Speigner.
