Sinfonia Gulf Coast continues to redefine the symphony experience throughout the holiday season with two family-friendly events that are certain to resonate with merriment and joy.

A Gospel Brunch featuring D’Vine comes to the Grande Ballroom of The Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 11:30 a.m. The sophisticated vocals and rich harmonies of international Gospel trio D’Vine have inspired audiences around the world. The ladies of D’Vine have performed for former President Jimmy Carter, Bishop Desmond Tutu, sports legend Hank Aaron and have been featured with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia Gulf Coast. Don’t miss this a capella performance as they travel through Gospel standards that will be certain to inspire and uplift your concert experience.

The culinary team of Legendary’s Emerald Grande will provide an excellent pre-concert brunch. Cost for the brunch is $55 and includes all food, a bloody Mary bar, mimosas, tax and gratuities.

Up next, Sinfonia’s talented orchestra Music Director Demetrius Fuller and several Broadway Stars will be showcased when the main season begins with a “Broadway Holiday” on Friday, Dec. 14. Sinfonia’s annual holiday concert will feature Tony Award-nominated Broadway superstar Gary Mauer (currently the Phantom in “Phantom of the Opera”) and vocal sensation Morgan James (“Godspell,” “The Addams Family,” and “Motown the Musical,”) as they join the orchestra and Maestro Fuller for an orchestral tour through everyone’s favorite holiday melodies and the beloved Broadway tunes that made them famous.

This performance will be held at Destiny Worship Center and begins at 7:30 p.m. Bring the entire family out for this festive concert occasion, but leave your naughty ones at home to ensure that Jolly Old St. Nick makes an appearance.

In addition to the holiday events, the 2012-2013 season marks Sinfonia’s seventh year of innovative musical programming as the region’s only fully professional symphony orchestra. Maintaining the tradition of “symphony redefined,” the non-profit symphony will present a stellar lineup of concerts featuring the orchestra and world-renowned guest artists.

Dubbed “007 Years of Symphony Redefined,” the season culminates in an orchestral tour de force of the original soundtracks from all of the “James Bond” films in “Bond & Beyond: Celebrating 50 years of James Bond.”
