First Note Concert

Summer Sunday Concerts
Gulf Place on 30A will host a free concert with The Wildlife Specials from 6-9 p.m. May 25 on the Amphitheater lawn. Bring chairs and blankets.
Gulf Cemetery will celebrate its centennial birthday with the unveiling of a marker at the Memorial observance at 10 a.m. May 26 on State Road 393 S. in Santa Rosa Beach. World War II vintage planes known as “The War Birds” will conduct an honorary “Fly Over” in a missing man formation and attendees will be invited to place American flags at veterans’ graves. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the Chapel at Cross Point across CR 393.
Gum Greek Cemetery
The 19th Annual Memorial Day Service at one of the oldest in Walton County will be held at 8 a.m. May 26 just off SR-83, north of DeFuniak springs.
Memorial Day Ride and Ceremony
The Vietnam/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club (MC), Chapter Z will present a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Fallen Soldier Monument at Niceville City Hall on May 26.The event begins with a motorcycle ride that departs Badcock’s parking lot in Niceville at 11 a.m. proceeding to Niceville City Hall for the ceremony at the Fallen Soldier Monument. The day continues at American Legion Post 221, Niceville, for a free cookout and DJ music.
Crawfish and Blues Cruise
Cruise through Memorial Day weekend on 30A from 1:30-4:30 p.m. May 26 on the Solaris at Baytowne Marina with live music by Boukou Groove/Donnie Sundal and New Orleans’ Johnny Vidacovich and choice of food. Cost is $45/person. Reservations required.
