The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is proud to offer the “The Villains & Outlaws of Walton County” presented by the Sheriff’s Posse for your organization. This lecture/slide series covers the pioneer days of Walton County which incorporated the volunteer posse and its efforts to help support law and order by the county sheriffs. To date it has been presented too many civic and church organizations and is now in a published book form. It details the early lawless period when men volunteered to chase and apprehend criminals who ranged over the Florida panhandle and Alabama state lines. Also presented is an exhibit display that is accompanied by members of the Sheriff’s Posse. Due to content and pictures, this is an adult presentation.
