Painting together is more fun

Furry Fanatics held its monthly Paint Your Pet Party last Thursday night, and it was again a sold-out event. Frith O'Brien, Karen White, Gillian Lee, Kay Brown, Linda Gudnason, Tonia Shatzel, and John Stasko were some who brought pictures of their beloved pets in to paint. Rob Wood and Dwight Ward dropped by to observe and critique. A little wine and a little music helped the inspiration and I think a good time was had by all.

Interior Designer Tammy Massey and the owners of the Stairway to Heaven townhouse in Seaside's Ruskin Place held a 20th anniversary celebration party at the townhome last Saturday night. The event was well attended by a diverse crowd wanting to see inside the iconic structure. Tammy Massey, Jim and Kathy Shepherd, Holly Speight, Bert Summerville and Jim Kain, Paige Schnell, Jackie Barker, Jim and Paula Carter, Pauline Sutcliffe, Michael and Laura Granberry, Rick and Karen Schoonover, Annette Trujillo, Lynn Nesmith, Melanie Barrett, and John Stasko were some who attended the invitation-only party and enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and wine, as well as a special signature cocktail while a drone hovered overhead. Several brave souls climbed the rooftop Stairway to Heaven staircase that sways in the wind.

The Rotary Club of South Walton also hosted a great event Saturday night. Joe Serrato, Shaye Smith, Heather Tate, Michael McIntosh, and Jamie McIntosh were some who attended Death by Chocolate at Grand Boulevard.

Farther down the road a bit, Sinfonia's Patti LuPone concert took place in Fort Walton Saturday night. Demetrius Fuller, Denise Stegner, Linda Miller, Sandy and Greig Buckley attended.

Wasn't the weather beautiful last Saturday and Sunday following the big storm? It was pretty enough to lure a lot of us outdoors to enjoy the paradise where we live.

I saw Michele Silberman, John Stasko, and Janice and Carl Fedkenheur at the pool. The Fedkenheurs have just returned from Jersey.

Ray and Vickie Dollar are back from a jaunt to Costa Rica.
