I hope everyone took the opportunity to go outdoors last Saturday, as it was a beautiful day with perfect temperatures to enjoy a walk, outdoor music, art, and a parade.

ResortQuest kicked off the weekend with a grand opening party last Friday night at its new location in the curve at Seagrove. Karen and David Moore attended.

Saturday was a beautiful day to stroll the lawn at WaterColor for Art in the Park, as did Tracy Louthain, Andy Saczynski, and Joan Vienot.

Robin Wiesneth attended the Hats for Hope Destin Women's Club luncheon at Sandestin on Saturday.

Saturday afternoon, the 30A community celebrated its Irish roots with the fourth annual St. Patty's Day parade. Redd and Paul Vizard, Paul and Sandy Luchtefeld, Georgeen Newell and Ken Golden, Candace Abuvala, Ed Macdonald, Carla Ravarino, Dwight Ward, Joe Serrato, Manny and Kris Chavez, Bill and Cheryl Freeze, Terry Sue LaNasa, Christy Haynes, Pam Holloway, Brad and Frith O'Brien, Ladie Bea and Wayne Carlisle, and David Seering enjoyed. David pulled up the rear of the parade driving a Sheriff's Posse car. Ladie Bea and Wayne watched from their driveway.

Following the parade, Hanie Nasri served up some delicious Irish stew, beef pie, and bread pudding from Marie's Bistro in the Gulf Place Amphitheater. I can verify it was all good.

That night was the social fundraiser of the year — The Cattle Baron's Ball at Sandestin's Linkside Center. Robert and Marinella Monk, Sandy and Greig Buckley, Demetrius Fuller and Michael Dobson, Stacey and Mike Brady, Zandra Wolfgram, Myra Williams, Traci Stokes Markel (who was visiting from California), Jeremy and Shelley Murrin, Adil Ceydeli, Amber Wiebe, Alan Geisman, Ron Green, Lisa Morris, Tim Kruegar, Jill Caddenhead, Valerie and Michael Thompson, Lynn and Steve Dugas, Nina Jeffords, Ray and Martha Jones were some who enjoyed a variety of food from Carrabba's, Fleming's, Another Broken Egg, 98 BBQ, The Eventful Planner, and the Solaris, as well as line dancing. Blingy cowboy hats were in abundance. A football signed by Alabama coach Nick Saban and quarterback A.J. McCarron, and one signed by Saints quarterback Drew Brees, as well as a lifetime membership at Legendary Boating Club, went at live auction, and there were many silent auction items.
