PARTY LINE: Boulevard Cinemas opens at Grand Boulevard

Demetria and Richard McNeese celebrated 10 successful years of McNeese Title Co. this week.

The new Boulevard 10 Cinemas at Grand Boulevard held its exclusive VIP opening last Thursday night to a packed house of locals, VIPs, and passersby. All enjoyed trying some of the Cinema’s food offerings of tiny crab cakes, shrimp and grits, sweets, three different gourmet popcorns, along with some nice wine and beer, as well as other items. Mike and Stacey Brady, Demetrius Fuller, Jim and Gail Lockwood, Kent and Peggy Lillie, Sarah Svoboda, Mary Damroth, Lynn Wesson, Jami and Hunter Ray, Bob and Georgiea Johnson, Lynn and Steve Dugas, Donna Burgess, Kathy Bridges, Sarah Stewart, Lydia Smith, Keith and RoseAnn Knight, Ken Hair, John and Kim Duke-Layden, Jim Bagby, John and Michelle Russell, Scott Russell, Chuck and Shirley Simpson, Chris Scott, Myra Williams, Cindy Meadows, Michael and Dana McIntosh were some who enjoyed the party and movies afterwards, including the Ovation Room for adults. 

About 17 of the 30A Posse gathered at Sergio’s Little Italy last Friday for lunch. Ladie Bea and Wayne Carlisle, Martha and Tom Casey, Hank White, Kim and Keen Polakoff, Cynthia Kennedy, Boni Rekas, Sherri and Mike McCarty, Patti Johnson, Tom and Dana Saffel, and Bob Wilson were some of those.

Rusty and Barbara Wharton hosted a crayfish boil at their Seagrove home last Saturday afternoon with corn, potatoes and crayfish for all. 

Lisa Hinds, Loraine and Ken Sloan, Kris Meigs, Wendy Prentice, Chris Waters, and Chad Gill were some who enjoyed food, drink, music, and egg art at the Eggstravaganza party and auction at Donna Burgess Gallery last Saturday night benefiting Alaqua Animal Refuge.

The 24th annual Hubba Hubba Bunny Hop saw a large turnout at Pandora's on Easter Sunday. Dwight and Sam Ward, Shelly Swanger and Linda Gudnason, Annie Lockamy and Brandon Jones, Eileen West, Joy Steele. Kelly and Mike Rafferty, Dan Mueller and Ginny Jones, Debbie and Meg Weant, Mario McNally, William Schissler and Dana Jusselin, Claire Bannerman and John Czapleski, Buz and Susan Livingston, Rod and Michelle Joly were some who enjoyed the huge, crazy dance party.

The "Duke & The King" documentary is going to Baton Rouge. Heads up, Louisiana! This one is for all of Duke Bardwell's friends, family, fans, acquaintances ... and the curious. The film will screen at 7 p.m. May 2 at the Manship Theatre. Duke will perform prior to the film, which will be followed by a Q&A session.

Monday night at Restaurant Fire, Richard and Demetria McNeese celebrated 10 successful years of McNeese Title Company. Helping them celebrate were Nina and Garrett Horn, Keen and Kim Polakoff, Gena and Ronnie Bolton, Linda Miller, Demetrius Fuller and Michael Dobson, Clayton and Katie Bonjean, Garner Chandler, Dale Smith-Stackable, Kitty Taylor, Art and Candis Hill, Lorre and Bob James, Barron and Nancy Strother, Meg Warrington, and Jennifer Howard, among a host of others. Billy Garrett and friends performed as guests enjoyed Fire's shrimp on blue-cheese grits, pork tenderloin, chocolate shooters, and some yummy cake pops. Nice production and turnout for some nice folks.
