PARTY LINE: Father's Day in paradise was beautiful!

Could Father's Day in South Walton have been any more beautiful than it was? It was a great weekend to get out and soak up some rays.

The special day sneaked up on me, but turned out well. I took a special dad out to breakfast at the Marina Bar & Grill Saturday morning. The omelet with greens and potatoes was really good. While there, I was pleased to meet Chef Chopin. He has some exciting plans in the works. The omelet filled me up and I wasn't hungry again until the steaks, which were cooked to perfection, went on the grill that night. Great day!

I took a friend out to lunch at The Bowery at Redfish Village last week for a birthday celebration. It was my first time there. The salads were good, and the chef went out of his way to make one of his desserts special for the occasion. Thanks!

Yes, Luke Bryan was in town again last week and dined at Goatfeather's and Bayou Bill's!

Miranda Lambert was also here.

Erika Stoyer hosted 28 members of the Women's Art Network for their monthly get together at her Sandestin home on June 9. Donnelle Clark, Sharon Long, Susan Lucas, Betty Cork, Martha Cooper, Joy Fine, Nan Ream, Dorothy Starbuck, and Esther Kolko attended.

In local travels, Stacey and Mike Brady visited St. John in the British Virgin Islands .
