PARTY LINE: Gregg Allman draws a crowd

The Gregg Allman concert drew quite a crowd out to Gulf Place last Wednesday night.

Some of the locals who turned out to see the Midnight Rider one last time included Debbie Weant, Buz and Susan Livingston, Ken Little, Ashley and Shannon Johnson, Jimbo Holloway, DuRee Stewart, Sheila Wachsman, Allison Craft and Scott Henderson, Robin Beans, Donna Matthews, Meg Castleberry, Tonia Shatzel and Rob Wood, Jon Ervin, Shelly Swanger and Linda Gudnason, Dana and Tom Saffel, Donna and Ed Macdonald, Jeff Margaretten and Lisa Miller, Mike and Angela Ragsdale, Dwight Ward, Sharon and Pete Foley, Celeste and Ted Cobena, and Mary Kay Samouce.

Football's Southeastern Conference heads met last week at Sandestin for the organization's spring meetings, where they added St. Louis and Tampa as future hosts of the conference.

Renee McCalmont, Cultural Arts Alliance volunteer coordinator extraordinaire, recently hosted 30A Songwriters Festival favorite Callaghan at a house concert on her WaterColor deck during Callaghan's Corner to Corner tour from Key West to Seattle .

Susan and Phil Benton attended the State of Mississippi Seafood Cook-Off last weekend where Susan was a judge. The event was held in Biloxi and benefited Extra Table. While there, the Bentons also attended the Blessing of the Fleet.

Congratulations to Camilo Giraldo (B.S. ’13), Real Estate Broker and Developer, Legendary Inc., Sail Real Estate in Santa Rosa Beach , who was recently named as one of Florida State University 's Thirty Under 30 and an Askew Award recipient.

Congratulations to Eden Gardens State Park — the winner of Southern Living's May issue poll for the Prettiest Porch of the South. Of the 10 pretty porches of the South, Eden was the only one nominated from the state of Florida and won by more than 100 votes to the closest competitor.
