May I begin this week by saying I am so proud. My daughter returned to our alma mater last week to address PR students 10 years after she graduated with a degree in public relations from JSU. She has worked hard and done well, and I am proud.

Now, moving along, if you've never joined another couple in the endeavor of making pizzas together, let me tell you it is lots of fun. I joined John Stasko, Kent and Peggy Lillie in a couples pizza-making endeavor last Wednesday night and it was loads of fun. Try it! The accompanying wine was good too that just happened to have the same name as the Lillie's street.

Walton County Chamber of Commerce's monthly Business After Hours was held last Thursday at Highland Park on 30A. Kellie Jo Kilberg, Jim Bagby, and Joe Serrato enjoyed.

Jared and Wendy Morton welcomed Connor Joel Morton into the world on April 14. Connor weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 20.5 inches long.

Bett Appel hosted 30 members of the Women's Art Network to her home last Monday night for their monthly show and tell.

A farewell party for Carla Ravarino and Tracy Welker was hosted by Sharon Thompson, Tom and Michelle Fillingim, and Keith and Rose Ann Knight at the Knight home in Gulf Place last Saturday evening. Jim and Emily Springer, Ann and Tommy Melancom, Joe and Kathy Perry, Lorene Gruzdis, Kelly Klein, Mike and Carol Stovsky, Brad and Claudia Droy, Betty Krika, Jeannie and Doug Gentile, Donna and Ed Macdonald, Dianne Smith and Steve Bacon, Mark and Allison Larson, June and Jimmy Milam, Elizabeth and Charlie Montgomery, Gayle and Bill Vortriede, Greg and Beverly Schmitt, Jens and Margie Bach, Judi and Jeff Sikora, and Charles Crossley attended. Carla and Tracy are moving to Illinois . Best wishes to them.

Easter Sunday was a bit cool and overcast, but still a good day for celebrating with family for many. But, if you didn't have family nearby, I hope you made it special for yourself. I did not have family or children near, so, there weren't any egg hunts for me, but I did enjoy eating a couple while enjoying a special Polish-style brunch with ham and egg bread. After a walk on the beach and a competitive game of Scrabble, I enjoyed the most delectable Dutch-oven baked leg of lamb in wine sauce I have ever tasted. So, it was a very good day.
