The rains have just kept coming lately, but they don't stop South Waltoners from getting out and getting together

Doug and Jane Anderson opened their beautiful Gulf Place home for an intimate wine and cheese soiree to neighbors Tom and Michelle Fillingim, Jim and June Milam, and John Stasko last Tuesday evening. The wine, hors d'oeuvres, and lots of lively conversation enjoyed on the Anderson 's balcony while taking with the gorgeous view was lots of fun.

On Thursday night the Milams returned the favor and hosted the Andersons, Fillingims, Diane Smith and Steve Bacon, and John Stasko at their lovely home to try one of Jim's latest culinary creations.

Fun times!

Tuesday afternoon, locals gathered at the Marriott Courtyard to hear a panel of entrepreneurs discuss their keys to success. Among those who came to hear were Joan Carter, Cynthia Kennedy, Barbara Rowan, Cory and Hillary Fosdyck, Max Banning, Todd Vucovich, Denny Wenrick, Ken Hair, Kellie Jo Kilberg, and Jim Bagby. The Marriott put out an excellent spread for the event.

Later that day, friends of Gale Culling gathered at Elephant Walk's upstairs Governor's Attic to raise a toast to the elegant lady before she leaves for St. Louis. It was so good to see old friends such as Lynn Wesson, Mary Damroth, Carol Rankin, Barbara Miller, Jerry and Doreen Baca there. Fair winds to ya, Gale!

Ron and Gena Bolton attended Sinfonia's Beaches, Boats, & Blues event last Friday night.
