Jackie Lynch and Karen Brommer are back from Highlands, N.C., where they loved seeing the fall colors and waterfalls. They also visited Esther Kolko in her new home in Hoschton, Ga., and went to Cashiers, Scudder's antique auction, the Bascom Art Museum, and enjoyed the Arts and Crafts Show in Highlands.

Barbara Rowan went to Universal Studios in Orlando and thought of me when she saw the likeness of Brenda Starr at Comic Strip Café. She sent me the picture she took. Thanks for thinking of me!

Sympathy is expressed to Beverly Schmitt in the death of her dad, and to Barbara May in the loss of her brother.

Condolences go out to Sally Rice in the loss of Truman.

Wish a "happy birthday" today to Vicki Kitahara.

Tomorrow to Mike McManus, Tiffanie Shelton, and Robin Godwin.

Tuesday to Leonora Motch, and new mom Sarah Brazwell.
