PARTY LINE: Sun sets on another week of mixing and mingling

Jacksonville State University alumni living in this area gathered for a mix and mingle last Tuesday night at Destiny East. Jon and Teri Vice were two who attended.

Turning out to view a chilly but beautiful full moon sunset at The Vue on 30A last Wednesday night were Dana Saffel, Ladie Bea and Wayne Carlisle, Georgeen Newell and Ken Golden, Randy and Lillian Torrey, Hank White, Joe and Kathy Perry, Betty Krika, Jimbo Holloway, Tom Fillingim, Mark Larson, Sandy Luchtefeld, and John Stasko.

Locals gathered at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast last Thursday night for the unveiling of three works of art donated by local artist and former Walton County Artist of the Year Justin Gaffrey. Roger Hall, Nina Jeffords, Demetrius Fuller and Michael Dobson, Sheryl Johnston, Denny and Carol Wenrick, Kellie Jo Kilberg, Wendy and Jared Morton, Jennifer Howard, Claire Bannerman, RoseAnn and Keith Knight attended. Kate Kelley played violin.

Congratulations to two local families who both welcomed new baby girls into the world last week. Rebecca Sullivan and Murray Balkcom greeted Georgia on Feb. 28, and Shruti and Nitin Bawa welcomed Saira on March 1.

Cynthia and Ben Kennedy welcomed Roscoe into their family last week.

Some 3,000 runners and walkers took to the streets last Sunday for the Seaside Neighborhood School 's 5k/Half Marathon. Some locals who finished were Redd Vizard, Michael Dobson, Linda Buehler, Lorre James, Elizabeth Orr, Angela Ragsdale, and Jeff Ellis. Congratulations to all runners and walkers.
