It was a beautiful weekend last, wasn't it? And pretty quiet and peaceful overall.
I took advantage of the calm before the spring break "storm" to stock up on some groceries and get out in the sun.
While out walking and getting around I saw John and Maureen Burns, Tom and Dana Saffel, Donna and Ed Macdonald, and the Dalmatian I wrote about last year that I often see on the 30A bike path — Sunny. I also met a couple who are moving here from North Georgia named Alicia and Ed Dutton who are trying to decide whether to buy a condo in Gulf Place or Carillon.
Hank Williams, Jr. performed at Ebro last weekend and several locals went to see him, including Paige Schnell, Sally Bailey, Stephanie Carter, Christi Ferry, Jane Solomon, Marie Solomon, and Jenny Dargavell.
Demetria McNeese, Demetrius Fuller, Shaye Smith, Vickie Dollar, Hannah and Zach Billingsley, Lynn and Steve Dugas, Greg and Jane Bahr, Joyce Russell, Tricia and Mark Northcutt attended the 30A Wine Fest at Alys Beach last weekend.
Robert and Larry Davis took a road trip to the Amelia Island Car Show.
Attending Walton County Chamber's Mardi Gras-themed luncheon last week were Lanier Motes, Gary Bowman, Jared and Wendy Morton, Shaye Smith, Tommy Jackson, Cindy Meadows, Charlotte Flynt, Megan Harrison, and King Ron Green.
Shelly Swanger and Linda Gudnason, Eileen West, Debbie Weant, Meg Castleberry, Melanie Jordan, Cheri Peebles, Buz and Susan Livingston celebrated Fat Tuesday at Stinky's Fish Camp.
Congratulations to Debbie Weant on her new granddaughter, Hadley Page, born Tuesday morning.
And, to DuRee Stewart on her new granddaughter, Anastasia Marie Howell, born Tuesday morning in Athens, Ga., to her son, Blake and daughter-in-law Sarah. Anastasia weighed in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces.
