Paula Deen made her rounds through the Sandestin Wine Festival before her afternoon food demonstration, Saturday April 20.

During a quick visit with diners at a special brunch, which included writers from Coastal Living and Huffington Post, Deen, with her husband Michael Groover in tow, was presented with artwork from Andy Saczynski, 2013 Visit South Walton Artist of the Year.

The mixed media piece uses imagery of 30A and Savannah, Ga., Deen's home, as well as her recipes. Deen admired the work and told Saczynski that she was going to hang it in her dock house. Before being ushered away to fulfill her busy schedule, Deen had to make her audience laugh.

After being referred to as "Mrs. Deen," she said, "Mrs. Deen is my ex-husband's dead mother...and I didn't like her very much. Call me Paula."
