Man shot at DeFuniak Springs home; Police investigating
DeFUNIAK SPRINGS - Police are investigating a shooting at a home on Constitution Avenue that left a man wounded.
DeFuniak Springs officers responded to a call about a self-inflicted gunshot wound early Tuesday, according to a Police Department news release. They found Bobby Seevers with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his hand and arm.
Seevers was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Pensacola, the news release said.
Police have not determined whether Seevers shot himself or if someone else shot him, said Officer Tilman Mears. Police called the incident a “suspicious shooting incident.”
Shirley James, Seevers’ “significant other,” was at his home when police responded, the news release said.
No other information was available Wednesday.
