‘Soldiers in Love and War' exhibit opens at Seaside

Eileen West Gallery presents “Soldiers in Love and War” exhibit featuring Helga Ida Maria Bollheimer's personal experience with her family members going to war. Excerpts from letters, diaries, and prose accompany each of the 15 paintings. The strength of this exhibit is the emotion expressed by the soldiers and their families.

Planting Peace’s Aaron Jackson helped get a 12-year-old boy from Haiti to Fort Lauderdale for medical treatment for a tumor last week. Chris Renteria has started a film production company in Tennessee and is doing consulting for some restaurant companies. He said he is enjoying being creative and getting back to his roots of writing, producing, filming movies, commercials and music videos.

I hear that Max and Ashley McCord just bought a place in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Jeff and Heidi Ellis went to Gainesville and Cedar Key to celebrate Heidi receiving certification as a kundalini yoga teacher. She is the first of nine people in northwest Florida to be certified.

Scott Provow flew to Cairns, Australia with his kids to snorkel the GBR. Matt graduates with his AA degree from NW Florida State May 6 and Stephanie just got her master's degree from Florida State on May 1. Leslie joined them in Sydney for a couple days on her way to and from Melbourne.

Frith and Brad O’Brien are enjoying a two-week vacation in Europe.

Garrett and Nina Horn are expecting their fifth grandchild in October.

Nina’s daughter-in-law Kristin McCaslin and grandsons Beckett and Sam visited for a week while their dad, Chris, was working out of town. Nina and Garrett celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary by taking them out to eat at Cantina Laredo at Grande Boulevard.
