Two homes, same week, same road, both burn
DEFUNIAK SPRINGS - Two fires that occurred within four days of one another on N. Norwood Road have left two families homeless.
On July 7, around 5 p.m., a mobile home was destroyed leaving the man who lived there without a home and killing one of his pets. Another pet is still missing.
On July 4th, a different home was also destroyed by a fire leaving a family with nothing.
Area residents have started a drive to help out Friday night's victims. The mother is 24, and wears size 1-2 pants, shirt size small-medium, and shoes 7 ½ to 8. Her two-year-old daughter wears a size 2 clothes and toddler shoe size 8. The 27 year-old-man living in the house wears a 36-32 pants, large shirts and 9-10 shoes. Friends of the family also say they need financial assistance and help in getting another place to live.
