Cowgirl Kitchen, a Rosemary Beach favorite for six years, has spread its wings with a second location now open in Seagrove.

If day one in business is any indication of success, owner Nikki Nickerson can look forward to an excellent run for her newest market/deli.

"When we opened our first morning, there were people standing outside waiting to get in," she said in awe. "And we knew we were off to a good start when our first sale was a $50 bottle of champagne!"

Cowgirl Kitchen is the first store to open in the new Shops of Seagrove, where the old Wheelhouse Restaurant used to be. Staying true to the Old Seagrove feel, the 1950s style architecture was maintained.

"We felt this was a great opportunity to be a part of this development," said Nickerson.

The added space at the new location allows Nickerson to expand her take-out offerings and the catering side.

"We have a little different menu and environment here," she said.

The Rosemary Beach location is a bar/dining experience, where the Seagrove location is more store/dining, although beer and wine is on the menu.

On the menu you will also find breakfast tacos, a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. Or, if you want something to go, a variety of casseroles are ready to take home and pop in the oven for a family meal.

"Everything is made in house using my recipes," said Nickerson.

In the deli hungry shoppers will find handcrafted meats such as hotdogs, applewood bacon, praline bacon, pasta, artisan cheeses, and key lime cheesecake.

Continue on into the market for gluten-free cookies, picnic items, chips, crackers, 15 varietals of mustards, pickled beets, pickles, ice cream, healthy dog treats, Mexican Coca Cola made using cane sugar instead of syrup, all natural drinks, yogurts, coffee, soy creamer, barbecue sauces, cedar planks for grilling, Napa Farmhouse soap, dessert sauces, three varieties of pancake mixes, and pecan pie in a jar.

The 45 varieties of wine and champagne are retail priced ranging from $8.99 to $66, with the popular Conundrum front and center. For picnics, Nickerson recommends the $9.99 Fonta Verdi.

All foods are available for dine in or take out.

"I have a passion for food, people, and entertaining," said Nickerson. "I love to cook for people and felt we could do something here instead of having to drive to Fresh Market in Destin. This is a great location and I am excited to be here. The reception has been great."

Cowgirl Kitchen, located on County Road 30A across from Seagrove Villas Motel in Seagrove, is open daily from 7:30 a.m. until sunset. The market is currently closed on Tuesdays.
