WCSO: Search Warrant leads to drugs and guns

In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 29, 2010, a narcotics search warrant was executed at the residence of Melvin Theodore “Skip” Schley located at 367 Cat Island Road, DeFuniak Springs.  A search of the residence yielded hundreds of controlled prescription pills, marijuana, methamphetamine, firearms, several hundred dollars in cash, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia

Schley was charged with possession of drugs without a prescription, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was booked into the Walton County Jail.  Currently no bond has been set.
