Seaside Rep preps for busy season

A shortened production of "Tempest" in collaboration with the Ohana Institute will take place Nov. 16 and a reading of poems with the Tesla Academy will be the first weekend of December.

On Dec. 6, "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some!)" will return to the Rep stage and will run through Dec. 29, with touring performances going out into area school classrooms.

Children's plays will return in mid-March, and Mainstage performances will feature two musicals next year in the spring and summer.

Next year's special events will include collaborating again with the annual Escape to Create visiting artist sabbatical and the Christmas performance of "Every Christmas Story."

"We will have others in addition to the Mainstage productions, but the titles can't be announced yet due to ongoing negotiations," said Stetler.

Stetler has served as the theater's artistic director for three years and has been associated with the theater for five years.
