Shades Bar & Grill used to be located on the sleepy end of 30A. That is slowly changing.

Are you looking for the best place to watch football? Look no farther than Shades Bar & Grill

With 16 TVs on all the time, everyone can watch their team on game day.

"We're the only place on 30A that shows every game for everybody," said owner Joe Freer.

However, Freer makes it clear that even though Shades is the best place to watch your team, it is better than a sports bar.

"We have better food than a sports bar," he said. "Our burgers are amazing — the best around, as we only use high-end beef. And our chicken taco appetizer is very popular."

Freer bought Shades in 1994 when it was located in Seaside , where Great Southern is now.

After a stellar 12-year run in Seaside , Freer moved the restaurant out to Inlet Beach in 2006.
