Sheriff Shows Appreciation to WCI Canine Team
Sheriff Adkinson recently presented members of the Walton Correctional Institute Canine Team with Challenge Coins as an expression of his appreciation for their excellent work.
Capt. Bobby Howell, Sgt. Alan Godwin, Officer Damon Bird, Officer Doug Landingham and Officer David Ward displayed great professionalism and technical expertise during the July 3, 2010 manhunt for an armed suspect sought for Aggravated Battery on a Walton County Sheriff’s Deputy. Working with Sheriff’s Office Canine Deputies, under difficult conditions, WCI officers were instrumental to the track and eventual capture of this dangerous suspect.
These officers’ performance reflects credit on themselves, the Canine Team and Walton Correctional Institute.
“Thank you for your dedicated partnership and support of our combined law enforcement mission. With the courage and commitment of such capable officers I am confident in our continued success,” said Adkinson.
