On the kickoff, the Hornets bobbled the ball and Schaffer recovered it for the Hawks on the 38-yard line. However, South Walton didn't score again until late in the first quarter on an Ortner to Ciurleo connection. Austin Garofalo kicked in the point after for a 12-0 lead.

South Walton scored again on a 48-yard strike to Harris before the Hornets would ever get on the board.

In the second quarter, Cottondale scored on a 39-yard run by Norris Calhoun who finished the night with 113 yards and two touchdowns.

The Seahawks scored three more times before the half, with one TD coming from the defense, while the Hornets put up one touchdown, a 41-yard run by Calhoun.

In the second half, the Seahawks continued to take to Cottondale putting up two more touchdowns, a 3-yard run by Schaffer and a 17-yard run by Chandler Parrett.

Cottondale scored its last TD on a 35-yard pass play from Justin Klotz to Jaueric Gardner. Klotz was eight of 15 through the air for 140 yards.

Up next for the Seahawks is a 7 p.m. district game Friday at Bonifay against the Holmes County Blue Devils.
