South Walton steps into spotlight with inaugural Fashion Week

Southern Fashion House will kick off the week with “Boots and Bubbly” from 5 to 8 p.m. at local designer Stephanie Carter’s headquarters offering a rare insider’s glimpse into her stunning office, a special Judith March and DejaVu trunk show and party that promises southern flare, complete with live music from The Running of the Bulls, champagne served in Mason Jars, fried green tomato appetizers and other exciting surprises.

Friday, October 11:

The Seaside Style will offer “Sneak Peeks & Umbrella Drinks” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Seaside Beach store in Seaside.  They will preview their Runway Show looks, serve umbrella drinks, and host a steel drum band! Courtney of the line “Bent by Courtney” will be in attendance with her beautiful jewelry.

Saturday, October 12:

The Alys Shoppe will host a trunk show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with designers from: S.Carter Designs (Sarah Hovis/Designer)A.Barclay Scarves (Anna Sibley/Designer)Busy Bees Kids (Shannon Spotswood/Owner & Designer) Letarte Apparel (Ashley/Representative)Turkish T (Katherine Douglas/Representative) along with many specialty pieces and the opportunity to mix and mingle with designers from some of these lines.

Local designer Nicole Paloma will raise a glass with her "Fashion Toast" Trunk Show from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with signature spirits, giveaways, special Fashion Week discounts and the opportunity to shop her exclusive and limited designs shown on the SWFW runway. The Nicole Paloma Flagship Workspace is located at The Shops of Grayton in Grayton Beach and offers one of the area's only locally designed and sewn collections with true South Walton artistry.  

Snap Tweens will host a "Fall Festival Open House" from 1 to 3 p.m., premiering the newest style from Peace Passion Positivity bracelets. Guests will also glimpse Snap Girls Fall Collection for girls up to size 14/16 and receive complimentary photographs taken with purchases of  $20 or more.
