Spending Mother's Day in South Walton

It's doesn't matter so much where you take your mom or what present you might buy her to celebrate Mother's Day, what matters is the time you spend together. However, if you're stuck on what to do this Sunday, here's a little help.

Sunday is the perfect day to partake in a yummy brunch. Fish Out of Water will be hosting a special Mother's Day brunch from 8 a.m. to noon, located at 34 Goldenrod Circle in Santa Rosa Beach . The buffet brunch will include a selection of fresh pastries, Gulf lump crab and arugula quiche and Gulf grouper with tarragon butter.  Cost is $40 per person and $15 for children 12 and under. Reservations are recommended, call 534-5050 to reserve your table.

For something different, treat mom to a Mother's Day Lunch Cruise aboard the SOLARIS yacht from 1 to 3 p.m. Lunch features a three-course meal that begins with freshly baked rolls with garlic, herbs and infused oil. Entree choices include a fresh herb-encrusted filet mignon in bordelaise sauce, Gulf fish topped with lemon beurre blanc sauce, cheese and fresh herb-stuffed chicken breast with volute sauce, or spinach and cheese stuffed pasta. Kid-friendly entrees include freshly baked flat bread pizzas. And of course, what's Mother's Day without a special dessert? The SOLARIS Mother's Day Lunch Cruise is $55 for adults $25 for children ages 3 to 10 and $15 for infants up to age 3. Book the cruise at 650-2519 or visit www.sunquestcruises.com
