Sheriff-elect names transition team

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS -- Sheriff-elect Mike Adkinson tapped the following people as part of his transition team.

William Chapman, transition chair; Graham Fountain, transition co-chair; Tom Ring, team member; Jeff Skipper, team member; Keith Westphall, team member; Tammy Godwin, executive assistant.

Adkinson will be sworn in as Walton County Sheriff during the first week of January. 

“The transition process will give us a much needed advanced evaluation of the current operations, provide for communication with staff, and identify immediate needs that will define our strategic priorities,” Adkinson said.
