‘Taking home a part of the beach’: 30A-opoly to hit stores

The funds raised from sales of the game will go to furthering the mission of the Montessori school, which educates children 2 to 6 years old by imbuing them with a love of learning.

“You meet a child where they are, and a natural desire for learning takes place,” said Paine.

The fundraiser proceeds plan to be used for more teacher education, greater program enrichments and provide more scholarships for needy families in the community.

From the interest thus far, the game is already a winner.

“People come to 30A to relax and enjoy the atmosphere,” said Tindell. “The board game allows them to take that back with them.”

“People love taking home a part of the beach,” Hartley agreed.

The games are $36 and will be available this coming week at retailers from Dune Allen Beach to Rosemary Beach. Many retailers are also accepting online pre-orders. If you’re feeling lucky, many retailers are offering sweepstake giveaways online. Seaside’s Facebook page gave a free board to its 20,000th fan.
