On Thanksgiving Day, Sandestin’s Brunch on the Bay, which has been a holiday tradition for nearly 20 years, will be a feast for the eyes and a symphony for the senses.
Set for Thursday, Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sandestin’s award-winning culinary team presents a delicious collection of holiday favorites at the
Traditional favorites will include oven-roasted turkey, pineapple bourbon-glazed ham, green bean casserole and cornbread and Andouille sausage dressing. The brunch will also feature a southern shrimp and grits station, a gumbo station and an assortment of cakes, pies, cookies and a banana’s foster flambé station.
This year marks something of a homecoming for the event.
“We moved it over to Baytowne in the early to mid-2000s,” said Jay Kirwan, the resort executive chef who has been with Sandestin since 1999. “Now it’s basically coming back home.”
He said the venue change will bring back the nostalgia and offer a more of a “homey-feel with a bay view.”
“We should be able to open the doors and have al-fresco dining.”
Cost for adults is $46; children, $19. Reservations can be made by emailing ThanksgivingBrunch@Sandestin.com or by calling 850-267-6398.
In addition to preparing a holiday feast, Chef Kirwan and his award winning food and beverage team will be creating a gingerbread display to add to the autumnal ambience of our spacious setting at the
