On Thanksgiving Day, Sandestin’s Brunch on the Bay, which has been a holiday tradition for nearly 20 years, will be a feast for the eyes and a symphony for the senses.

Set for Thursday, Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sandestin’s award-winning culinary team presents a delicious collection of holiday favorites at the Linkside Conference Center at Sandestin. Enjoy stunning views of the bay plus marvelous menu buffet items with all the traditional turkey and trimming favorites, plus seafood, desserts and much more.

Traditional favorites will include oven-roasted turkey, pineapple bourbon-glazed ham, green bean casserole and cornbread and Andouille sausage dressing. Other selections include a made-to-order omelet bar and Belgian waffle stations, fresh fruit, a selection of Artisan cheeses and a medley of roasted fall vegetables. The brunch will also feature a southern shrimp and grits station, a gumbo station and an assortment of cakes, pies, cookies and a banana’s foster flambé station.

This year marks something of a homecoming for the event.

“We moved it over to Baytowne in the early to mid-2000s,” said Jay Kirwan, the resort executive chef who has been with Sandestin since 1999. “Now it’s basically coming back home.”

He said the venue change will bring back the nostalgia and offer a more of a “homey-feel with a bay view.”

“We should be able to open the doors and have al-fresco dining.”
