Police investigated an attempted armed robbery at Eckerd’s drug store at the Beach Walk Centre on U.S. 98.

A disagreement between the county and a South Walton couple who wanted to build an 18-story high-rise in Blue Mountain Beach continued as Claude and Betty Jones filed a two-count suit against the Walton County Board of Commissioners.

A Sun editorial said that as a tourist destination, a poor job is done regarding posting rules of the beach, especially pertaining to dogs.

Harry Millsaps was named Realtor of the Year for the South Walton chapter of the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors.

Scenic 107.1 LPFM, or Low Power FM, a new radio station for the 30A community, searched for volunteer DJs to fill the station’s programming roster.
