Perdue Farms poultry plant in DeFuniak Springs announced it would close with 392 people to lose jobs.

The Walton County Chamber of Commerce released survey results indicating the continued decline in the number of employers able to provide employee health coverage and offered solutions for the problem.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort was to open Finz Restaurant in the location occupied for 18 years as Elephant Walk.

Destin and Walton County landowners opposed to beach restoration filed petitions that delayed the proposed $16 million project.
