Due to anticipated cutbacks in state funding, Okaloosa and Walton counties could face an overflow of students without enough money to construct new schools, so discussion of a joint middle through high school program underway.

The county’s new beach warning system with 27 additional flag poles on the beach will double the district’s in-kind contribution to $140,000 a year.
