20 years ago — 1994

Abbott Realty and Gus Andrews Realty (Century 21) joined forces to form a new agency, Abbott and Andrews Realty Inc., in Walton County .

Freeport High School was awarded a $500,000 grant to implement a Hospitality/Resort Training Academy on Sandestin’s 2,400-acre property.

Eighty percent of the readers who responded to The Walton Log’s telephone survey favored a proposed state law allowing prayer in schools.

With public safety initiatives doing very well in the state legislature during current session, it is likely Walton County would receive new prison facilities.
