Contractors in Walton County who violate construction regulations could have their license suspended or revoked and be fined as much as $5,000 for violations by the Walton County Competency Board.

For his contribution to tourism, Van Ness Butler was presented with the Van Ness Butler Hospitality Award 2003 by the Tourist development Council.

Junior League of the Emerald Coast extends its clothing drive by adding Walton County to its Child Clothing Project.

First All That Jazz Wine Festival held at The Village of Baytowne Wharf.

South Walton High School boys and girls cross country teams swept the competition with victories in the Walton County Championships held at SWHS.
