4th annual American General Life and Insurance Company Bass Tournament set for Aug. 6

Grab your luckiest pole and most reliable lure, the 2011 American General Life and Insurance Bass Tournament is set for Aug. 6 at Marina Village in Freeport. A $3,000 payout is at stake for the winners of this annual tournament in memory of local angler Bob Zdenek.

Attendees will each have two anglers per boat and will depart at first light.

There will be plenty of family fun planned while the anglers are out fishing.  The day will feature a car show, arts and crafts booths, food, demonstration boat rides, giant waterslide for the kids and live entertainment. The Family Fun Day is free and open to the public. Come and stay for the weigh-in and see who brings in the biggest fish and takes home the cash.

Entry fees are $110 per boat. Interested anglers should visit aglabass2011.eventbrite.com.

Arts and Crafts vendor spaces are available for $25 each and may be secured by calling Joy Hudson at 850-833-9237 ext. 256.

Raffle prizes, door prizes and a silent auction will help raise funds for child abuse and neglect victims served at the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center.
