Going out to dinner? If you're dining at The V @ Seagrove, notice the artwork adorning the restaurant's walls.

The V is presently host to the accomplished artwork of Walton County Artist of the Year 2004 Susan Lucas.

A dozen pieces of Lucas's artwork adorn the walls of the restaurant and will be on exhibit through mid-December.

All the pieces are of the same subject matter — places where land and water meet — viewed through an abstract lens.

"Presently, I am interested in painting places where land and water meet and with an abstract view of looking down into the water," explained Lucas.

Lucas says water inspires her, especially the area's rare coastal dune lakes, our bayous, and edges along the lakes where you can see the bottom.

As a child and later as a mother, Lucas has spent a lot of time around the Red Fish Lakes.
