One arrested after discharging firearm at spouse
Deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a home off
Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the suspect’s wife. The wife stated that she and her husband, Matthew Lynch, 30, got into a heated argument over the family’s vehicle. The wife refused to give Lynch the keys and Lynch went into the bedroom, retrieved a Smith & Wesson and fired one round at the tire of the vehicle but missed. Lynch proceeded to walk towards his wife and pointed the gun towards her feet and fired three to four rounds, striking the ground next to her feet.
The victim told deputies when Lynch walked out of the bedroom with the gun, the children in the home got scared and fled the residence. Deputies found shell casings in the driveway as well as along the walkway of the home.
Deputies observed Lynch driving the family vehicle on Hwy. 90. A traffic stop was conducted and Lynch was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a weapon in a public place, obstructing justice, hinder, delay or prevent the communication to a law enforcement officer and driving while license suspended or revoked.

The accident occurred at 9:05 p.m., just west of Sandestin. The FHP report said investigating officers were attempting to determine whether Philbin had consumed alcohol prior to the accident.

Investigators with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Heith Fountain, 35, of DeFuniak Springs on April 29, after receiving information from a citizen. Investigators located and followed Fountain to Lowes in DeFuniak Springs, where they observed him enter the store, immediately walk back out and load a pressure washer onto the back of his truck.
Fountain exited the parking lot and a traffic stop was conducted. Upon further investigation, Fountain did take the pressure washer, valued at $359, without paying for it.
Fountain was arrested and charged with grand theft and driving while license suspended or revoked (DWLSR).
