WCSD: Schools to implement new security system

All Walton County School District schools are implementing the EasyLobby Visitor Management System for all visitors this school year.

The new program tracks all visitors on campus thus providing a safer environment for students.  The system requires that when a parent, volunteer, visitor, or contractor reports to the school office for a visitor’s pass, they will be asked to present a valid state issued identification card, such as a driver’s license, for entering into the EasyLobby Visitor Management System.

The system will scan the visitor’s identification card, match the information against a registered sexual offender database and, if no record exists, print out a photo identification badge.  The entire process takes less than one minute.

The system has the ability to provide alerts to school administrators as well as law enforcement agencies regarding people who may jeopardize the safety of any of our school buildings.
