Santa Rosa Beach woman killed in early morning crash on Okaloosa Island

Keri S. Crabill, 30, of Santa Rosa Beach, was killed this morning in a two-car crash on U.S. 98 on Okaloosa Island.

Three others were seriously injured and a fourth critically injured in the same accident.

Mickey E. Miller, 38, of Garrison, Texas, and passengers Ty Miller, 10, also of Garrison, and Cody Barlow, 3, of Nacogdoches, Texas, were seriously injured and transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

Another passenger, Eugene Miller, 63, also of Garrison, was listed by the Florida Highway Patrol as being in critical condition and was also taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

The collision occurred around 6:45 a.m., east of Santa Rosa Boulevard.

According to the report filed by FHP, Crabill was eastbound on U.S. 98 on the inside lane in a 2006 Pontiac. The Miller vehicle, a 2008 pickup, was westbound also in an inside lane.

The Crabill vehicle drifted off the paved portion of the roadway and into the grass median. According to FHP, Crabill over corrected to the right, then left and then lost control of her vehicle.

As it began to spin around, it traveled into the path of the Miller vehicle and collided with the pick up front to right side.

Crabill was pronounced dead on the scene by Okaloosa County paramedics.
