Jeanne M. Biscone
Jeanne Biscone, a beacon of light and love to everyone who knew her, passed away Feb. 3, 2013, in Miramar Beach. She was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Lackawanna, N.Y., into a rowdy Irish household, one of 13 children.
Jeanne lived there until meeting the love of her life, Joe Biscone, whom she would go on to marry and spend more than 61 years with as his best friend and devoted wife. Together they had an adventurous life, thanks to more than three decades in the Air Force and 14 years at Boeing — all while raising six spirited children, to whom she was an incredible mother and friend.
Jeanne never met a stranger and had a legendary sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest day.
She leaves behind six children and their spouses, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, many heavy-hearted friends, and her soul mate, Joe.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 6 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 259 Miramar Beach Drive in Miramar Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will also be held at Resurrection Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Feb. 7, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. A committal service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 8 at Barrancas National Cemetery, Naval Air Station, Pensacola.
Because of her deep love for her faith and parish church, the family suggests a donation in her name to Resurrection Catholic Church’s Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
