Barbara Darlene Sadler
Mrs. Barbara Darlene Sadler, 58, of Freeport, passed away Sept. 13, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Sadler was a resident of Freeport and a Baptist by faith. She owned and operated her own cleaning business for many years. She enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and working with crafts and scrapbooking. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Sadler is preceded in death by her father and mother and five brothers, Joe, Johnny, Ronnie, Raymond and Lee Henry.
Mrs. Sadler is survived by her best friend, Thomas Sadler; daughters, Nicole Dunaway and husband Jimmy and Deanna Nicole Sadler; son, Gregory Sadler and wife Jenae, all of Freeport; sister, Pat Fender of Mooresville, N.C.; brothers, Ricky Thompson of Crestview, James Arrowood, Gary Arrowood and Eddie Arrowood, all of Greenville, S.C.; and grandchildren, Dakota Fullwiler, Emmah Dunaway, Eden Dunaway, Logan Sadler, Kailynn Sadler and Gavin Sadler.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
James William (Jim) Jones
James W. “Jim” Jones, 60, passed away Sept. 5, 2013, with family by his side. He was born on June 14, 1953, in Augsburg, Germany, and adopted by Master Sgt. Robert H. and Mrs. Venita Jones.
Jim and his wife, Gail, moved to Destin, Fla., from Georgia in 1983. Jim was a construction foreman on many residential homes in Okaloosa and Walton counties. They enjoyed remodeling their own home they purchased in Santa Rosa Beach in 1990.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, “Daddy Bob” Jones and mother, Nita Jones Smith, of Colquitt, Ga.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Gail; brothers, Chuck Jones of Colquitt, and Bob (Debi) Jones of Camilla, Ga.; sons, Jeremi Jones and fiancé, Tina, of Colquitt, and Tarkus Jones and fiancé, Sherine, of Houston, Texas; and daughter, Christy Cook Bryan of Colquitt. Jim also had eight grandchildren, Cody Clemente, Arianna Jones, McKenzie Jones, Hayli Jones, Noah Jones, Jack Jones, Kelsea Grimes, Tate Bryan and several extended family and friends.
As Jim had requested, a cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life service was held in Colquitt, Ga., at Pirates Cove on Sept. 8.
Sincere appreciation is extended to the doctors and staff of Sacred Heart of Miramar and Pensacola for the care Jim received since 2011.
