Pauline Mae Waters
Pauline Mae Waters passed away on July 30, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Illinois. Married for 65 years to Jim Waters, they lived in Garfield Heights, Ohio, until 1994, when they moved to Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.
She and her husband were sports enthusiasts who enjoyed canoeing, sailing, kayaking, square-dancing and cross-country skiing. Pauline was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as well. She always had a word of encouragement, a positive outlook and a generous spirit. Pauline welcomed friends, family and strangers alike with warmth and grace.
A devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her daughter, Nancy Freeman and husband Don Freeman of Illinois; granddaughter, Jamie Lamkin, and husband, Greg Lamkin, and their children, Ben and Morgan of Texas; and granddaughter, Stephanie Freeman, and her son, Crawford of Illinois.
Pauline did not wish to have a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Daughters of the American Revolution or the Wounded Warrior Project.
